Join us in our professional studio for this experimental workshop exploring various hand dyeing techniques to create pattern on silk scarves using the shibori method.
Students will be shown a variety of different resist processes such as pole wrapping, clamping, stitching & folding, pleating and binding pieces of cloth to create exciting and unique samples.
A chosen technique will then be developed into two final indigo hand dyed silk scarves to take home with you.
All materials provided. Students are welcome to bring along their own garments or cloth to experiment with. No experience necessary.
