MAKE A "GLAMINEX" BROOCH WITH BETTY JO

$50.00

Make a "Glaminex" brooch with Betty Jo. Students will have the opportunity to make a collection of brooches in this two hour workshop.
Do you like to collect things, arrange and assemble things or, dare we say it, hoard things?
Join Jeweller and Object Designer Liz Jones from Betty Jo Designs to create beautiful "Glaminex" brooches using buttons, beads, bric-a-brac and everyday items participants are encouraged to bring in "found stuff ' such as buttons, beads, broken jewellery, shells, fabric scraps, ephemera, small plastic, wood or metal bric-a-brac like toy farm animals , game pieces and coloured pencils.
Raid your kids toy box, your kitchen junk draw, your nanas button tin or your old jewellery box. Reuse and refashion those forgotten treasures and discarded bric-a-brac and create a new wearable mini work of art!
Even if you don't have the *collecting* gene in your DNA that’s OK. There will be lots of instant collections to work with!

Workshop will be held at Harvest Workroom, 512 Lygon Street, East Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia as part of the State of Design Festival's 2011 "Design for Everyone" program.

July 30th 10am - 12pm
