Spend three glorious days in the Harvest Workroom print studio experimenting with British born Sydney based textile artist Jo Fowles whose work is primarily process driven with a focus on hand elements and mixed media.
Each student will be assigned their own studio space where they can grow and develop their own style under Jo's guidance.
With a playful approach she will take you through experiments with mark making, dye, shibori and open screen-printing techniques to produce exciting hand crafted work. Students will be encouraged to follow the path that most suits their interests over the course of the workshop.
By the end of the workshop you will head home with a whole new suite of hand made goodies - 2 new pillowcases, 2 tea towels and 2 silk scarves. Plus you will have the opportunity to dye some of your own clothing/fabric.
All materials provided. Students are welcome to bring along their own garments or cloth to experiment with and are also encouraged to bring along inspirational images to inform the direction that their work takes over the 3 days. No experience necessary.

All of our workshops are small and intimate with this series catering to a maximum of 10 people.
The workshop will be held at Harvest Workroom, a professional screenprinting studio at 512 Lygon Street, East Brunswick, Melbourne, Australia 3057.
